CT Man Nabbed For Robbery Of Walmart, Threatening Employees With Box Cutter

A Connecticut man was charged with larceny and robbery after allegedly stealing some $200 worth of merchandise from a store and then threatening an employee with a box cutter.

New Haven County resident Samuel Brown, age 46, of New Haven, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 22 in Milford.

According to the Milford Police, officers responded to the Walmart at 1365 Boston Post Road on a report of a robbery.

An investigation led to the arrest of Brown who is accused of stealing more than $200 worth merchandise and pulling out a box cutter when store employees attempted to confront him, police said.

Brown had been previously warned by police that he was not allowed to be on the property and he was later found to be in possession of a large knife.

He was charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Larceny
  • Criminal trepass
  • Breach of peace
  • Carrying a dangerous weapon

Brown is being held on a $7,500 bond.
